Marcos arrived in the country at 6:09 a.m. on Sunday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. He attended the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and met with world leaders.

The president said in his arrival speech “he feels to be home.” The working trip served as a “good start” for opportunities that will benefit the country and Filipinos.

He also shared he was also “satisfied” and “happy” with the working trip’s result, assuring Filipinos to expect “good news to share in the coming months.”

“I am pleased to report to you and the Filipino people the main outcomes and results of this working visit of ours to New York. There will be good news to share in the coming months," he said.

Marcos also claimed that he met a “quiet number” of US companies within the week of his visit. All of the companies are committed to being part of the Philippines’ development and economic growth journey, he added.

While in the US, aside from the economic briefings, he also met with the Filipino community. Some of his activities were met with protests.

The Chief Executive left the US at around 2 a.m., New York time, on September 24.

This is his third overseas trip since he took the presidency following his state visits in Indonesia and Singapore.
