Philippine National Police (PNP) officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao said on Wednesday that they will be implementing a transparent bag policy for those who will attend President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.’s inauguration ceremony this coming June 30.

“Unang una the implementation lalong lalo na yung pagpunta dito sa area will be very strict. Ipinagbabawal natin yung pagdadala ng mga bags and any other covered materials. We will only allow transparent materials. Kahit yung mga lalagyan ng tubig na cannisters na de color ipinagbabawal din po yan,”  Danao told reporters during his inspection at the National Museum in Manila on Wednesday.

“If possible magdala tayo ng pamaypay, konting damit siguro para papalitan kung siguro mabasa ng pawis and then yun transparent materials lang katulad ng plastic na puwedeng inuman at paglagyan ng gamit ,” he added.

He also said the PNP will be deploying almost 7,000 cops who will be on the two points of entry aside from the stage and also there in the back.

“For the VIPs according to our BBM contingent around 1,200 VIPs except from military and civic military contingent and yung audience diyan sa likod,” said Danao.

He said all systems are in place to secure the inauguration of Marcos, with just a matter of finalizing to put the barriers from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“The Directorate for Operations who is really personally supervising the whole operation and the whole deployment ng ating tropa (of our troops). We are almost 98 percent done. Eto na lang paglagay ng infrastructures na iestablish ng atin DPWH ang kulang but definitely but our security measures is almost done,” he stressed.

Danao said that motorists are advised to take alternate routes as heavy traffic will be expected, particularly in roads leading to and from the National Museum.

“There will be a traffic rerouting plan that will be effective June 26 will be having a traffic rerouting plan and I know the MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) will be posting the rerouting plans. 12:01 a.m. of June 26. there will be an advisory kung saan yung dadaanan, kung saan yung dapat hindi daanan,” said Danao.

“There will be medical stations and it will be stationed around the stage area and that will cater in case that any eventuality that may arise lalong lalo na may magfaint. Meron din tayong mga ambulances all over (the places),” he added.

He said final security preparation had been laid down and finalized to ensure success and zero casualty or any untoward incident.

“We would like to assure our incoming president that on behalf of the 225,000 officers and men of the PNP, our forces are ready for the inauguration of the incoming president. We will assure you that the PNP will give its best to secure the safety of our visitors, especially the first family,” Danao noted.

And while protest actions are allowed in "freedom parks" without any permits, the PNP official said they will not allow protesters to go near the venues for any rallies or such to prevent any untoward incidents.

“Sa mga nagrarally naman ang aming pakiusap paulit ulit po sa kanila sana naman po irespeto natin itong inauguration ng ating presidente. We fully agree sa inyo pong mga sentimiyento pero sana naman po on D-Day ay irespeto naman po sana natin. Puwede naman po kayo mag rally pero huwag naman po sana siguro rito, malapit sa vicinity,” Danao stressed.
