More than 18,500 outbound passengers were monitored by the Philippine Coast Guard one day before the All Saint's day.

The PCG said that it has monitored a total of 18,598 outbound passengers and 16,419 inbound passengers in all ports nationwide as of 12 noon today.

PCG frontline personnel, on the other hand, inspected a total of 295 vessels and 381 motorbancas.

The coast guard already placed its districts, stations, and sub-stations on 'heightened alert' from November 29 to November 4 to manage the influx of port passengers who will visit their families and loved ones in the provinces.

"Fully vaccinated local tourists are also expected to flock to tourist destinations that are now slowly re-opening, following the reported lower cases of COVID-19 infection in the country," said the PCG.

Meanwhile, the PCG reminded the riding public to carefully check the existing ordinances of their destination as LGUs have different documentary and testing requirements.

Aside from securing their QR code or S-PASS, they also need to prepare their vaccination cards, antigen test, or RT-PCR test, said the PCG.

For any concerns, the public may reach PCG through its official Facebook page or the Coast Guard Public Affairs (0927-560-7729) for inquiries, concerns, and clarifications regarding sea travel protocols and regulations during 'Undas 2021'.
