Like any other successful film franchise, Star Trek has also stood the test of time, thanks to its in-depth storyline and loyal fans. Following the season 4 premiere of "Star Trek: Discovery" in the Philippines, Filipino fans of the American television series can try beverages inspired by their favorite Star Trek characters. 

To launch a limited-time cocktail menu, Paramount Network has teamed up with two local bars in Manila, MOSPHIL by RRR, and The Curator Coffee & Cocktails. The concoctions—which started on November 25—will transport fans to the beloved sci-fi universe. 

Kick-starting the intergalactic voyage with MOSPHIL by RRR, the plane-turned-bar in Parañaque will be transforming its bar into a spaceship to give fans the Star Trek feel, all while enjoying a slew of cocktail selections: the Spore Drive, Vulcan Martini, Emerald Chain, and Dilithium Burn.

On the other hand, the Makati-based Bar The Curator Coffee & Cocktails offers four curated mixes, including Red Alert, Love & Grief, Strike First, and Retrofit—all inspired by Star Trek characters Michael Burnham, Cleveland Booker, Saru, and Adira Tal. 

If you can’t decide which beverage to choose, the back of the bar’s menu offers a personality quiz, so you can select the drink that best suits your—well, personality.

RETROFIT (PHP 550)  

Inspired by Adira Tal, this cocktail boasts a fruity feel upon the first drink, complete with Mark bourbon, apricot liqueur, sugar, lemon juice, egg whites, angostura etching, and lavender ingredients. 

LOVE & GRIEF (PHP 550)

Giving a hint of allspice, this Cleveland "Book" Booker-inspired pour is infused with Bombay gin, lemon juice, sugar, Lichi-li liquor, pimento dram, orange bitters, and mint leaves.

RED ALERT (PHP 550)

Taking inspiration from U.S.S. Discovery captain Michael Burnham, this whiskey forward concoction is a bourbon-infused drink, complete with fraise des framboise, rosso vermouth, and angostura bitters ingredients. 

STRIKE FIRST (PHP 550)

This drink, inspired by Saru, has blackberry notes thanks to the Havana 3 rum, Myers dark rum, creme de mure, sugar, and angostura bitters components.

Dilithium Burn (PHP 450)

This alcohol-forward mix is named after the crystalline substance that the characters used to regulate the matter/antimatter reactions that give power to the propulsion systems in spaceships.

 
Emerald Chain (PHP 450) 

Infused with a light and refreshing citrusy flavor, this blend took inspiration from the show’s eponymous syndicate, formed by the Orions and Andorians. 

 
Spore Drive (PHP 450)

Filled with fruity flavors—with a dash of citrus—this cocktail’s name is inspired by the experimental technology that allows the U.S.S. Discovery to travel faster than light. 

Vulcan Martini (PHP 450) 

Vulcan Martini is named after the Vulcans, a humanoid race with prominently pointed ears and the iconic hand gesture associated with Star Trek. The drink offers a dry finish with a silky texture.
